About Us

The relationship between nutrition and human health is greatly influenced by biological, environmental, socioeconomic, cultural and behavioural factors. Since nutritional requirements can vary according to age, gender, weight, genotype, activity level, physiological and disease status, nutrition can positively or negatively affect an individual's life from the womb to death.

Adequate and balanced nutrition is shown as a strong target in finding solutions that will positively affect public health and economy as well as reducing the risk of many diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancers.

In our department, it is aimed to train dietitians who question with scientific curiosity, have social responsibility and professional ethics, have strong teamwork and communication skills, and have leadership qualities. In this direction, it is planned to provide education and training in accordance with national and international standards based on current evidence to protect, develop, improve and improve the quality of life of the individual and society.
